I have 10 years as an internet professional and 20 years as a salesman pursuing ROI.
During the first wave of internet business expansion, I spent five years as a web consultant and partner in adventmedia.com. I was the account manager and conceptual lead for all of our clients. In that capacity, I was responsible for designing, planning and executing the web vision of companies ranging from venture funded startups to a division of Fortune 100 companies. I led projects ranging from creating feature specifications, information architecture and user interface design to content development, search engine optimization and banner campaigns. In an era when venture capitalists were pouring money like chum into the feeding frenzy of the dotcom boom, adventmedia built functional websites with measurable ROI from concept to profitable entities.
As the bubble burst in 2001, I joined one of our most profitable clients and spent the next five years as the Director of Online Marketing and Business Development for PsPrint. During my tenure, the company grew from $3 million in revenue in 2001 to a projected $25 million in 2006. In addition to helping direct the company from a modestly functional ecommerce site into the most sophisticated site in the industry, I was responsible for initiating, designing, implementing and managing all aspects online marketing including CPM, CPC and SEO.
